I just want to say thanks!
I've spend the past 6 months building a new site [1] using node and it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences I had as a developer. From the core engine to NPM to the many modules we use (Connect, Express, Native Mongo, Cradle, Jade, OAuth, Socket.io, Validator, EmailJS, Opts, User-agent, and Semver), it has been a pleasure using and being part of this community.
6 months ago when I decided to use node to build a new web service, many of the people I talked to thought it was too risky, too unstable, and way too immature. People warned be that I will find it painful to work in an environment with so many missing facilities. I'm happy to report they were dead wrong. Yes, there is much to be desired, but looking at what we accomplished with about 2 months of net server coding time, it is pretty amazing.
I've started blogging [2] about my experience in hopes it will help pay back some of my community debt. We will open source as much as we can in the coming months (started with the 'mac' module for OAuth 2.0 MAC tokens).
I'm having so much fun with node, I am never in the mood to finish OAuth 2.0... :-)
