In the network editor, cannot find a way to remove a color tile
token. Count cannot be set to zero in a tile.

To remove a colour tile just click on it and hit the delete key. Edges
without a colour tile will not fire (equivalent to setting the count
to 0).
If you set the count to 0 the tile displays an 'infinity' symbol to
reflect the probability of it firing.

If I am in the Node viewport (where the sequence tiles are shown),
click on a tile and hit delete - ALL sequence tiles disappear AND the
Voice Group is deleted.
When I set the count on a tile to 'zero' (displays an 'infinity'
symbol), when that route is triggered, it remains ALWAYS triggered,
and the other routes are NEVER AGAIN traveled.

What am I missing?

TIA

Make sure you have the node selected in the editor, then click on a
single colour chip in the node editor window - it should highlight -
then press delete. Only that chip will be removed. If you haven't
selected the chip, the node and its output edges remain selected so
pressing delete will delete the node and all its output edges, hence
causing all the chips to be removed as well.

If you don't want an edge to fire, then delete the edge (click on the
edge, make sure it is the only thing selected and hit delete).

Jon,

I suspect this is another (Windows?) bug.

With a single node-chip selected (light border appears on that chip) -
pressing delete removes ALL chips for that node.

Setting the count to 0 does not cause that edge to 'not fire' as you
say above - it causes the edge to 'always fire' once it is reached in
the sequence.

It is unsettling to have product support indicate a problem doesn't
exist, then see it confirmed by another user, with the stipulation it
might be '...another (Windows?) bug.'.

Is the application release/a defect report not tested on Windows?

If there is a disparity of function, perhaps it would be best to first
assume all defect reports refer to the more problematic platform...

Hi Mark,
This may be a problem with windows version of the Qt GUI that is used
in Nodal.
One thing you do need to make sure of it that you've clicked on the
editor window in which the chips appear - otherwise the main editor
window is active and because the node is selected that is what gets
deleted when you hit the delete key.
We'll look into it further, thanks for the feedback.

Jon

"...clicked on the editor window in which the chips appear..."

When you click on a chip in that window, that window should have the
focus - right?

ALERT!
From a post by Aidan Lane on 14 Feb 2010
BTW: to remove an edge tile, select it and then press Delete or
BackSpace.

Which was updated by Royce a.k.a. rpcfender on 17 Feb 2010
Tried delete but the whole node goes. (XP SP2)
Backspace works.

So I tried THAT today (30 Oct 2011).
Backspace will delete the selected tile, BUT...
Undo won't bring it back, AND if you click plus and select one (to add
it back)...you get TWO

Hey - Pest Removal! FWIW ;-)

AND backspace leaves the edge of the deleted color in the node
drawing, though it's not functioning it is confusing
