I borrowed the Tynset bydeboker hoping to find information on these pastors,
but I found nothing. Are there other sources of information on these people?
Were the pastors usually from the area, or did they usually move in after they
were educated? Hans Lauritzen does not sound Norwegian to me, is that Danish?
Thank you for your help!

According to Bishop Bang's book "Den norske kirkes geistlighed i
reformations-aarhundredet" Rasmus Matsson was born on the island of Fyn
in Denmark, ordinated by Bishop Jens Nilsson and ordered to serve as
junior pastor in Tyldal (Tynset was a part of Tyldal). Rasmus gave a
written statement February 21, 1600 of which parts are printed in "Jens
Nilssøns Visitatsbøger". Rasmus became senior pastor and gave his oath
July 1, 1602 in latin: "Ego Erasmus Matthiæ vocatus ad pastoratum in
ecclesia Tyldall, testor me hoc juramentum meum sequturum velle, manu
mea data et subscripta, Anno 1602 1 die Julij."
Hans Lauritsens oath says: "Ad pastoratum Thøndsædt cum consensu
magistratus vtriusq(ve) vocatus, juramentum in limine libri annotatum
legi, lectum, pro viribus, qvas concesserit altissimus, qvoad vixero me
servaturum sancte promisi. Asloviæ 11 August. Anni 1628. Johannes
Laurentii.
