Hi Everyone,

Can any one help me find a solution.

I have two gas meters which are of different make. Will the registers
I read hold good on both the registers.

I mean we start one of the meter with the starting address 4 and the
other I am not able poll the data with the same address.

Can you please suggest where to look at.

Looking forward to hear from you.

regards,
Mahi

No it is very unlikely 2 Meters from a different manufacturer would
have the same modbus register map. Look for the documentation for each
meter to determine what points need to be read.

hi Tim,
Thanks for the response.

But earlier I had a test with a meter which had registers to start with 40001 to 40034. Now the second test as with a meter whose registers hold data in 7001 to 7008.

In the first scenario, I could read the registers from 1 to 34 (40001 - 40034) now if I try anything similar I would get an error for 1-8(7001-7008). I did not know what to test.

Any direction or ideas would help. Looking forward for a quick response.

Regards,
Mahi
