Lets fly to Iraq and go hiking along the border with Iran.
Doesn't that sound great? There are a thousand miles of
trails to hike on.

WTH could motivate someone to go to a conflict area to go
hiking? Those three people who got caught by the Iranians
are beyond stupid. Those three *Dumb Ass's* deserve what
ever happens to them. I guess Yellowstone wouldn't be
adventurous enough. If they wanted a lot of excitement
they could have gotten plenty walking around parts of
New York City.

Hillary (The Stupid Bitch) Clinton says, They're just
harmless tourist please let them go. I bet those Iranians
hate her. Hillary puts the *Skank* in *Skanky*. She'll
probably help start the next world war.

That's my rant for today. I don't even care that it has
nothing to do with New Mexico.

There's much more to this story than meets the eye, IMO.
Tourism in Iraq (Kurdish territory or not) has got to be
right up there with a camel ride across Darfur, or
perhaps a boat trip along Somalia shores!

Closer to home, it makes about as much sense
as having "fun" bar hopping in Juarez!

I might take my chances in Iran before going to Juarez. At least in
Iran they would keep someone alive for political purposes. I stopped
going to Juarez in the mid 80's.

If that were true Iran wouldn't be charging them with espionage, would it?

They'd be getting political asylum, wouldn't they?

Thus making a fool of YOU again, lupita!

http://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/11/09/iran.hikers/index.html

The videos show the relaxed travelers enjoying themselves as they take a
break from exploring a town in Kurdistan.

"Yo it's hot. Yo it's hot. It's 'cause I'm in Iraq. Someone get me a
fan. Someone get me a fan. 'Cause I'm in Kurdistan," Fattal raps as he
chuckles and points to the Iraqi landscape behind him.

The videos have been posted on YouTube and at www.freethehikers.org.

The Americans entered northern Iraq from Turkey on July 28 during a
planned five-day hike. Bauer and Shourd had been living in Damascus,
Syria; Fattal was visiting. They set out to hike in northern Iraq's
Kurdistan region.

Meckfessel, who spoke with Bauer the morning of their hike, said his
friends did not know they were near the border and made "a simple and
regrettable mistake" by crossing into Iran.

Guess it was a roundabout way of circling the wagons before the beans
cooled.

Do you need it drawn out on a whiteboard to get the picture?
