Hi everyone...

I'm not sure exactly what Jim's trying to say, but as I've told him before -- I think many times -- I'm not really the founder of of the MISP list, and certainly not the state's Media Industries Strategic Plan.  To suggest otherwise is offensive and doesn't give proper credit to the several people who worked very hard to develop the plan and carry it forward, chief among them David Breecker and Eric Witt with strong and very personal support from Governor Richardson.

So please, give credit where credit is due.

Eric

And to the first Ad Hoc committee, that David was a member of way back in 2002, who put the first blueprint of the Media Industries Strategic Plan together for the soon to leave office, Gov. Gary Johnson.
It has taken an entire village of folks to raise a film industry in New Mexico. Thank you one and all. Happy and peaceful year end holidays, and let's all have a great new year.

I apologize for any offense in referring to Eric as “Our Founder”, which I meant in a humorous sense as in “Our Fearless Leader”, etc. I know Eric as the tireless administrator of the MISP list (I hope I’m not adding further offense or error by saying that), and I was unaware of the actual founding history. And I don’t remember Eric explaining this to me before – but then there are a lot of things I don’t remember.

I was mainly trying to convey a link to a slide show of a fun part of the SF Film Festival as I experienced it as “my part of the elephant” – the webcast with which I was involved.

I hope you are not offended Jim...Eric is probably just trying not to step on any egos.
I certainly took it in fun...anyway...what most of us love about you is how politically incorrect you usually are...

Merry Christmas,

I know this thread is going on longer than intended, but I would like
to take this opportunity to say "Eric is my personal hero and advocate
for change in the media industry in New Mexico." Three cheers for Eric
Renz-Whitmore.
Hooray. Hooray. Hooray.

Uh-oh, man, you're in for it now. Another round of repudiation and denial.
Eric is terminally humble, I'm afraid, and will probably have none of it.

Anyhow, nice of you to say - and you're appreciated too.

Who are all of you people?  -and, why am I on your list?   I do video, but I'm not sure how I could be linked to your world.  I've been receiving these posts for months.  I enjoy them, but have no idea who any of you are or what you do (though starting to figure it out).     Anyhow, Eric sounds like a great guy.    So, Yeeeeaaa Eric!   That was fun.

Merry Christmas and kind regards,

Robin  (sheepish grin here)
