Summary:
Action! Adventure! Incredible scenery and cinematography! But best of all a
wonderfully powerful cast! As the deep and thoughtful chieftain Buliwyf,
Vladimir Kulich was splendid. He played his part with dignity, power and
intelligence. Another stand-out performance was that of Dennis Storhoi who
played Herger the Joyous. Perfect timing and temperament. Really fun to watch.
Antonio Banderas as the narrator of the piece and, incidentally, the 13th
warrior was also fun to watch. He has a knack for humor and uses it well.
The whole ensemble cast was a joy to watch as they moved through-out the film
as a team of men who valued each others strengths and talents.
The camera work in this film is dangerous and thrilling. Our perspective is
intimate and that lends a great deal of excitement to the movie experience.

The 13th Warrior is for anyone who believes in honor, valor and courage. Also,
for anyone who likes Vikings, horses, battles, blood and gore or men.
Women who like men will like this movie!

Willdo .... film was best aardig toch ?! Had wat meer uitgewerkt kunnen zijn op
een paar punten i.p.v. dat massale hak- en steekwerk op het eind, maar best
aardig ..... vond hem ook wel historisch geinig in elkaar steken ....
De "Wendol" (duidelijk een groep "resterende" indianen die niet i.t.t. hun
voorgangers uit Noord-Europa via de toenmalige landbrug naar Noord-Amerika zijn
overgestoken) maar in 1000 AD nog even mot hadden met de Vikingen (Schotse namen
en Ierse koppen en zelfs een roodgeverfde Ierse Wolfshond ?!) .... dit alles
gadegeslagen door de ogen van een arabische dichter, die die beide wrede
volkeren maar barbaren vind aanvankelijk, en de wijze, relativerende factor in
de film is .... geinig
Toen was er nog wat begrip voor elkaars cultuur ..... de overgecultiveerde
Arabier ziet uiteindelijk in dat de beide wrede barbaarse culturen toch wel iets
meer te melden hebben dan uitsluitend primair elkaars kop er afslaan ...en
omgekeerd
een zeventje .....
Zal wel eens checken op www.imdb.com over "The Blade" .....

Man, die heb ik al zo lang gelden gezien .... traag en al die complottheorietjes
over het militair-industrieel complex blijven na die hele drie uur ofzo helaas
onbeantwoord..... saai imnsho !! (misschien idd voor Amerikanen leuk ?)
Probeer maar eens "Feardotcom.com" (is correct geschreven zo) te kijken,
heftigste film die ik de afgelopen jaren heb gezien ...

Hoewel het op zich een heel aardige film is die de complot theorie
rond de moord op Kennedy goed uitlegt, zegt'ie meer over de
zieleroerselen van de maker. In het Oliver Stone universum is elke
bandiet een communist, of een nicht.

Tja, typisch zo'n film die bedoeld was voor de "binnenlandse consumptie", ik had
bijvoorbeeld de "angle" van Cuba wat meer belicht willen zien of belangrijker:
