TECHNICAL CHANGES TO CARTOON NETWORK AND TNT CLASSIC MOVIES
From October 15th 1999, the combined service of CARTOON NETWORK and TNT
CLASSIC MOVIES will be scrambled on the analogue Astra satellite (Astra 1C @
19 degrees East, transponder 37).
If you receive your service from cable or your local satellite provider or
watch inside the UK/Eire, Africa or the Middle East you will NOT be
affected. If you think your viewing might be affected and would like to
continue to receive these channels please call your local cable or satellite
operator (or see the list below).
TCM, a whole NEW CLASSIC MOVIE CHANNEL
Also from October 15th we will launch TCM as the new home to the world's
greatest classic movie library replacing TNT Classic Movies. TCM will bring
you more classic movies than ever before, 24 hours a day, uninterrupted!
From Casablanca to The Exorcist, from Doctor Zhivago to Dirty Harry, TCM has
more unforgettable films than any other movie channel.
TCM will transmit dedicated channels for the UK & Eire, Spain, Poland and
French speaking territories. There will also be a channel available across
Europe, Africa and the Middle East in English with subtitles in Swedish,
Danish and Dutch.
In addition to broadcasting the world's best classic movies, TCM will
provide a whole new movie experience. The new features include in-depth
celebrity interviews, monthly star tributes and specially hosted seasons
with contemporary movie makers and experts.

If you live in the UK/Eire you will NOT be affected by this scrambling and
can continue to watch as before. On the analogue Astra service TNT Classic
Movies will become a general entertainment channel called TNT delivering a
wide variety of entertainment programming including WCW wrestling, movies
and series. TCM will become available as a seperate 24 hour channel.
