***Connecting with the Shakti: An Art/Yoga worksop with Ivy
Join Ivy for an evening of yoga, chanting, meditation and art! This
will be a mini-workshop to connect to the Shakti, the creative

***Yoga for Teens with Joanne Lemaire
We will explore yoga postures (asanas) to enliven the body and will
focus on the breath and relaxation techniques to calm and center the
mind. Through the practice of yoga, teens can gain a better sense of
themselves, achieving confidence and clarity in today's busy and

***The Shamanic Journey with Jyoti Chrystal & Alfredo Villela
The shamanic journey has been used for millennia by shamans to access
the worlds of myth and dream. In this workshop, through rattling and
drumming, you will learn how to enter realms of non-ordinary reality
in a waking state to obtain knowledge, solve personal problems, find
direction for achieving personal goals and meet your power animals.
You can experience archetypal insights, not only to your own problems

***Ancient Ayurveda Yoga: A Master Class with Sarah Tomlinson
Sarah will introduce you to the Ayurveda Yoga series: a series of 21

***Level II Reiki Practitioner Training & Attunement with Bill
Courson
This is a complete and intensive training in the Usui tradition of
Reiki energetic healing for individuals possessing Level I
attunement. A detailed study of three Reiki symbols will be made,
their mantram, derivations and uses, as well as a demonstration of
the same and hands-on practice. Various useful Reiki modalities as
well as non-Reiki modalities, i.e., the pendulum will be discussed.
This course includes a discussion of the Vedic origins of Reiki and
of the esoteric anatomy of the human body's Chakras, Nadis and Koshas
and their significance for Reiki practitioners. Enrollment in this
course is limited to individuals who have obtained Reiki I attunement
not less than 21 days prior to the offering of this training.

***Beatitudes, Christ & the Practice of Yoga with Madelana Ferrara &
Rev. Anthony Randazzo
In this workshop students will learn the message of Christ's
beatitudes through a body-centered spirituality: the practice of
yoga. Combining Christ's message with the yoga practice, students
will walk away understanding that message and its value in their life
through the feelings imparted to the body, mind and heart.

***From Darkness to Light: Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita with Rev.
Jaganath Carrera
A 3-week series of classes beginning Thursday, March 29th (8-9:30pm).
What is the secret to living a happy life? Is it possible to engage
in the many responsibilities that life brings without losing our
sense of self, our direction, our inner peace? The Bhagavad Gita, one
of the most revered scriptures of yoga, holds the answer to these and
many more questions. Although the beloved Gita comprises a story told
on a battlefield in ancient India, it is the scripture that served as
the inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi's nonviolence as well as thrown
light on the spiritual journey of countless millions. We are
delighted to have as our teacher for this series of classes Rev.
Jaganath Carrera, founder-director of the Yoga Life Society and
author of Inside the Yoga Sutras: A Comprehensive Source Book for the
Study & Practice of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. He has been studying,
teaching and practicing all facets of yoga since 1973 as one of the
most senior disciples of Sri Swami Satchidananda Maharaj.

***Holistic Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Program with Kelli DeFlora
This is the third year Starseed has offered this very popular and
substantial program of instruction and training in prenatal yoga
teaching, under the aegis of Kelli DeFlora, RYT, director of
Starseed's prenatal program. For detailed information on the

***Yoga for Men with Marc Dennison
A new class, just for men, focusing on the foundations of yoga. This
class is targeted at true beginners and current practitioners alike.
Come open the body, lungs and heart while working on breathing,
concentration, flexibility, coordination, balance and strength in a
supportive, non-intimidating environment. Leave feeling inspired,
refreshed, grounded and connected. Tight hamstrings? Stiff back? Old
injuries? No problem - this class is for you! Our instructor, Marc
Dennison, began practising yoga in 1999 and completed anusara teacher
training with Vishali Varga and Jonas Westrig in 2004 and in 21005
with john Friend, Mitchel bleier, Siana Sherman, Naime Jezzeny, Sue
elkind and Douglas Brooks thus accumulating over 500 hours of teacher
training. Marc is passionate about the physical aspects of yoga as
well as its deeper philosophic components and is thankful to all of
his teachers.

***Soft Tissue Workshop with Madelana Ferrara Mattheis
Do you feel as though your practice has "stalled" or that you've
reached a plateau in your practice? This workshop is for students who
have at least some experience with yoga, students who have plateaued
in their asana practice and want to understand what is
really 'holding them back.' and students with more experience who
have become dull in their practice and want to rekindle the spark of
inspiration in their practice.This workshop will teach you how to
connect with your yoga so as to help enliven your practice and will
teach about the more subtle layers of the body, particularly the
fascia. Students will be familiarized with the feeling of restriction
that can exist in these layers to demonstrate the impact that
tightness in this tissue has on mobility. You will be taught
techniques to release these patterns in your own body, and how to
distinguish sensations in the various layers of your anatomy.
April 15th (Sunday, 6:30-9:30pm) : $60. $65. thereafter
***Advanced Shamanic Journey with Jyoti Chrystal and Alfredo Villela
This workshop, exclusively for people who have had two or more
journey experiences with Jyoti and Alfredo, is designed to teach you
shamanic journey-work so that you can work independently. Specific
rattling and drumming techniques will be taught. You will learn how
to develop your psychic intuition to work with personal challenges.
Bring a journal along withyour power tools including a rattle and
drum.
