The new calendar views look really nice, switching between views is awesome. And I like the (not functioning) way to pick a date, much easier than Goto. Two findings: - The month view is showing the wrong month (March instead of April) - The Split-Agenda in the month view shows tasks as well, which would IMO be fine for the Total-Agenda view itself, but in the Split-Agenda in the month view I would like only the dates for the selected day.

I like it so far - the new look is definitely less '70's dayglo, and
the navigation (such as it is so far) is smooth, and transitioning
days/weeks/months is much smoother and faster.
Only thing I've found so far is my calendar shortcut on my homescreen
says "application not installed" - but I'll count that in with the
widgets you said weren't tested yet :-)
Thanks! Another sweet step forward.

I'm liking all the changes, but Calendar shortcut on desktop still not
working. I use that shortcut throughout the day to link directly to
Agenda.

Perf improvements in beta .0055 If you are on Honeycomb or ICS, we have enabled Hardware acceleration, and you will see a difference when scrolling through the calendar. Please watch out for any glitches HWacceleration may have caused. thanks all, have a good weekend! -g

Installed today and noticed back to fast battery drain again. Did something change because it had been fixed for about a week or so. I reverted back a few beta versions
My question is with every beta update do I need to do a quick config?
no, you shouldnt have to do a quick config. I assume you are sure that touchdown is not draining due to push throttling? The last time this happened, was due to a bug when push was turned off. Are you operating in non-push mode ? -g

OK on the not needing quick configure. Wasn't sure. Doesn't appear to be push throttle as before. I am on push setting. I mostly noticed it when I went to 55b the drain really kicked in again as with the last time. I reverted back to 50b and seemed to stop the drain. Battery lasted me all work day. 55b was about 4 hours. Any thoughts? Droidx rooted

unless you go to 55b (56 now) and see if push throttling is happening, its hard to tell. I checked here and there are no wakelocks which seem to be held =-g

Hi, sometimes when I select an appt that overlaps another, the infobox at the bottom shows the text of the underlying appt. I have not found a way to consistently reproduce it, but it happens regularly. I am on 56b. Regards
I loaded 55b yesterday afternoon - this morning starting from a full
charge I drained 6 points in an hour and a half with screen off
(normal should be ~1% an hour). That was the only change made to the
phone the last day. Just loaded 56b and I'm charging back to full -
I'll let you know how it goes, but it was definitely fast draining
again.
Are the previous versions available for download somewhere? I was on
52 or 53 (the second one after the calendar shortcut got fixed) and it
was working fine, so if 56b doesn't fix it I'd like to go back...I'll
have to start saving them instead of downloading from the app :-)
Thanks for the GREAT product! The constant improvements are wonderful
too.

Drain seems lower, but still "above normal" on 56b - if you tell me
what you want done, I'll do it - if you want ADB commands or something
it will have to wait till I get home, but I could run Wireshark or
commands on the phone if you want.

hey if you have ADB, you can do adb shell and then "dumpsys power" to see if there are any outstanding wakelocks from touchdown. BTW, the more you look at it, the more it will drain :-) -g

ok thanks, doesnt look like there are any wake locks held. The only thing to check next is whether touchdown is indeed processing unnatural amounts of data. If you have push enabled, the way to know would be to go to the main touchdown screen and wait there for about half a minute with the screen on to see if at the bottom it reports push throttled. -g
