A few notes from my visit of the C-BASE space station :
- It is awesome !
- RGB lightning everywhere is impressively cool
- Having a space in a space station makes it magic,
and you can tell stories about it
- Putting a lot of lights does not mean high power consumption,
you can play with contrasts and shadows. A small green LED is
for example enough to see a toilet seat, no need to enlight
the whole room.
- Over 400 (paying) members, a smaller ring of people who make
decisions and a core for the more administrative stuff.
- Members can get a locker for 10€ (not recurrent)
- Half of the space is members-only (+ guests on invitation), as
they are used to have a lot of people coming on the open ground
floor (parties, groups meetings, ...).
- Put every electronic board you find on a wall, it makes
the spaceship more geeky.
- An android app for control of space (lightning, some doors, ...)
by the members is pretty cool.
- There is now a HSBxl sticker on the ship's entrance door.
Happy hacking,
