Shared with several DoD interpreters I know as well as a small group of Deaf Government workers.

I would love to see this reported on - I just hope Bezos will let it run now that he is one of the "TechBros" licking Donny's boots.

Sorry, I will delete this if you need me to.  I am just so Fing mad at all of this.

There's a rule/clarification MEMO from OPM :



This is being interpreted to mean that sign language interpreting as an accommodation is still protected.  It isn't clear if this covers public settings like press releases or public speeches etc.

ps - whoever has contact with the reporter, Amanda Morris should encourage her to create a Signal account for safe communication.  And any/all of you should also create and start using Signal instead of regular texting, Messenger, WhatsApp, and even email for confidential communication. I'm happy to talk about more information if anyone is interested.
