I am currently working on a project to develop archetypes to define how allergies data (especially drug allergies) are defined for use with in and between systems.
The work is ongoing at clinicalmodels.org.uk and is heavily-based on work already done by CfH and the GP2GP project in particular. We will also be using these archetypes to port and persist data as part of a pilot to use an openEHR data repository as part of the Leeds Care Records Service pilot, pulling data from GP systems.
As part of this project we will be exposing a simple Allergies API so that the Leeds portal guys can easily pull the data from the EHR. It would have been nice to do this as a SMART api but the current
model
http://docs-v06.smartplatforms.org/reference/data_model/#Allergy
is not appropriate for UK use - wrong terminologies for one thing but here are other datatype issues.
Would there be any interest in kick-starting a SMARTPlatforms UK fork, based around allergies, assuming such a thing does not exist already.
