Unknown animal

Hoping someone can identify what animal is making this sound. I’ve been hearing them from my living room window and back deck from roughly 10:30-11pm. I had a Barred Owl calling not long after so I was able to put the audio clip on an eBird checklist. Definitely sounds distinctly different than any young Barred Owl I’ve ever heard. From through the window I thought they were Blue Jays at first. Thanks in advance,

PORCUPINE!!! Very romantic! They court in the fall- and it’s quite a ritual! You’re lucky it was so early- Ours prefer 2 AM!

Porcupine. It's getting close to their mating season (late Sept - Oct) and this is an unhappy female telling a potential suitor to buzz off. Males make a similar but lower-pitched call when arguing with other males.
