Great day along the coast today! As Derek Lovitch experienced at Fort
Foster, we had lots of birds on the NH Coast! The backdoor cold front
came through in the morning and brought fog, drizzle, and raw NE winds,
but the birds had come down. My best spring day ever for many species
including an incredible number of Common Yellowthroats. Hopefully these
birds will stick around. Folks SHOULD GET OUT and enjoy!!!
The following are highlights represent TOTALS for the entire day from
many stops from about 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The best location was
Odiorne, where I spent 3 hours walking around the entire park. EBird

TRICOLORED HERON 2 birds together south of Rye harbor in salt marsh
with 8 Snowys and a Great Egret.
Black-crowned Night-Heron 1 at freshwater pond at Odiorne.
