Does anyone know what stores and locations in NH accept batteries, at no
cost, for recycling? Thanks.

Generally any store that sells batteries will accept them. They have a
value, so they usually don't care. The store where you bought your new
one is required to take it back, btw.

Most town recycling centers take them, I know Jaffrey's does.

Check out some recycling companies. I don't know any in NH because I moved away
8 years ago. In southern Nevada where I live, we have a recycling company which
pays a few dollars for old batteries.

Are you out of your ever-loving mind? Moved away from NH?

Oh, wait, seeing the weather we've had this winter, I guess I do
understand... <bg>

This is another good idea, but for ease I think I'd still suggest
starting at the local town's recycling center (which most towns have).

I agree. Dover's recycling center does also.

i would if i could find a place i liked better in NY. it's
*so* much cheaper, as far as cost of living there.
i bought a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2500 sq foot house on an acre &
a half for less than i paid for my Honda Pilot. the
electricity is less expensive. the propane & oil are less. the
annual property tax is a whopping $330! i could live there
year round, but i have a farm here... i am looking for 100
acres or so, 200 sq ft house, barns, pond in NY. that should
cost around $250k in the areas i prefer.

take batteries.

No snow here in the last 8 years, although it does get down to 10 above at
times. But it gets to 110 (115 a couple of days) degrees in the summer.
However, my vehicle has a good A/C, and I don't get stuck in the snow.

Actually, I moved to the desert for my health. I'm allergic to air-borne mold,
and NH (and anyplace with normal rainfall) has a lot of old leaves rotting and
giving off mold.
