The New Farm Project is pursuing projects that could help local farms and food production. As ideas for projects emerge we will try to make the connections neccessary to get the academic community doing the research work needed to realize those ideas.
While in this collection process every attempt will be made to be as open as possible a few simple guidelines might be useful to know where to start.
- Ideas should be unique ie. They should be for projects that might result is something novel that does not exist or result in significant cost savings over current options.
- Try to keep descriptions as concise as possible.
- Ideas should be related to the process(s) of farming and production.
- Scale is limited to small and medium size production.
- Recognizing that ideas are limited to ones that fit small and medium size operations it will be valuable to have projects of many differing levels of complexity.
- These ideas would be in the public domain with the intention of sharing them first in our local farming community and then to the broader farming community.
- Please add comments to current topics. No comment is unimportant since a critical function of this list is to access the needs (and hence opinions) of people in the community.
