Looking into the possiblity of putting in a Propane fireplace. But what the
stores are charging for a mantle is crazy.

I was in the same boat. We're getting ours done (way cheaper IMA)
privately. He's finishing it off next weekend.(using only solid woods)
I can send a pic if you like once its completed.
