VOCM question of the day...."Should Williams apologize to Breast Cancer
Victims?"

46,000 votes! 67% in favor of Williams! HAH!!! The Confederation Bldg.
eighth floor minions who are paid a lot of money to respond to those
things....earned their money today!

God...that's so pathetic on so many levels.

Wait a sec...that's not the question. This is:

"Do you think Danny Williams owes an apology to breast cancer patients
and their families for his recent comments on the Cameron Inquiry?"

Your snip puts it into an entirely different context.

Naughty, naughty.

I was listening to Randy Simms yesterday morning in the shop, at 9:10am
there were over 6000 votes for DW, Simms was disgusted and commented that
somebody had nothing better to do.

My point was not the content of the question, even though I cited it
incorrectly here. The point is that someone is stacking the polls. As Dan
pointed out, that even disgusted the radio personnel. You want to talk about
wasting taxpayers money?

I just looked, at 6:30am there are over 1200 votes and 85% said no. Hard to
believe the upper most important thing on peoples mind is to jump out of bed
and vote for VOCM's question of the day. Wow! too funny.

They mentioned on the talk shows yesterday that the only thing
preventing multiple votes from one computer was a cookie placed on
your machine upon voting. However, if you turned off cookies you could
vote to your heart's delight. Apparently this was also mentioned in
the Telegram, but I didn't see it there.

LOL! Somebody must have just pounded the site with a script.

It's now 52% yes, 48% no - over 2000 votes in the past 10 minutes.

You don't know that. You're making an assumption.

With the way you worded the question, I would have answered yes, he
should apologize.

With the entire question, I would have said no.

Really? Who cares? Anyone who would put any stock in a poll
conducted by open slime radio needs their head examined.

As Dan

What taxpayer money is wasted in a VOCM poll?

Actually, it began with a concerted effort by Geoff Meeker and the readers
of his blog to hijack the poll. Read the last few days of posts on his blog

"Hijack" is not quite the right word for what *Meeker* and co. did, even if it *is* the right
word for what Confederation Building has been doing now for years.

None! By VOCM. Taxpayers money however is wasted by the minions on the eigth
floor of confederation bldg, who have been manipulating political polls for
years and who are being paid by the public.

Those were good articles. I was aware that the eigth floor had people in
place to reply to politically sensitive questions on behalf of the governing
party. It's no different than stacking the open line shows with callers
supporting a particular candidate or government stance. I don't think most
people are fooled by it though.

Jumping late into the thread.

Carter let me get this straight. You do not believe that political parties
attempt to influence the results of a poll, even on the question of the day?
Political parties have been doing that for years and the VOCM recent poll
seems to suggest that they continue to do it.

I'm asking for evidence that they do.

Mike, saying it's so doesn't necessarily make it so. Show me
some evidence that it's so.
