Hi all!!

I have a White HTC touch that I got less then a month ago, LOVE this
phone!!! Have an issue with the casing. I have 2 hairline cracks on
the left side next to the Volume button, Looked it up online and it
seems it's a manufacture defect. I found a forum with people who have
the same issue. http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=11070509&posted=1#post11070509
If you see the pictures I have the exact same cracks in the case.
I brought my phone to Bell/Aliant and they said they never saw this
before, in other words if it's not a common complaint they won't do
anything about it unless they get multiple complaints.

I was just wondering If anyone else saw this or if anyone else has the
same phone. The blueish one seems to be fine as it has a better case
(i should have went with that one.) I'll be calling HTC as well.

Thanks,

Leona :)

I have the steel blue HTC Touch, bought through Aliant when it came
out Christmas time. Great phone, no problems with quality of case or
anything else. Impressed actually that I have not broken anything yet
as I am typically hard on phones and PDAs. I started a Bell Aliant
Wiki for HTC Touch a while back. I would post it there as its a large
HTC user Forum. http://www.htcwiki.com/page/Bell+Aliant+HTC+Touch

Sounds like phones are becoming a fashion accessory here?

Instead of "What kind of car do you drive"? :-)

Seen over in the much more affluent Middle East (It's the oil you
know!) phones in specially crafted and jewelled cases. Five or ten
thousand dollars per phone!
But when one is buying and wearing a five thousand dollar watch
anyway ....................... ! Conspicuous over consumption being
their order of the day.

For those not so extremely rich, Middle Eastern coffee drinkers
sometimes spread out their two or three cell phones (called 'mobiles')
on the cafe table in front of them.

One story was an individual who truly had five mobile phones; one for
his home, where his several wives lived and four others. One each,
for ............ well, ostensibly business but ..................
"Other 'female' business contacts". His five phones were a bit of a
local joke/legend.

Wonder if here one can get a simple, black or plain colour, rugged
enough to be dropped on the ground a few times while shovelling snow,
working on the car, sawing wood etc. i.e. buy the phone and put it on
a $10 per month prepay plan.

Recommendations?

I use 'Aliant PrePaid'; and buy $100.00 worth of 'minutes' once a year.

I paid $125.00 for a Nokia phone 3 years ago, and am on my third year of
'minutes' with a bank of over 300 said minutes. I don't use wireless very
much.

Just for Terry;0) (125 + (3*100))/36=~$12.00 monthly.

I have 300+ minutes in my bank, and the phone is virtually new; so my
monthly co$t will continue to decrease.
