I would bring it back to where you bought it... they obviously had done a
crappy job at maintaining the tree prior to selling it.... I am sure you
spent a lot on that dried-up tree...

Just my $0.02, though.... I have an artificial so I really don't worry about
things like that - nor do I know if that is really normal... though it does not
seem like it should be normal!

Cheers,

David.

LOL... you would have an interesting Christmas, I am sure, if you took the
misuses decorations and light off and exchanged the tree.... show up with a new
tree and tell he she gets the privilege of decorating 2 trees this year... LOL.

If you actually do that... I have a spare bedroom you can bunk in for the next
week... ;)

I picked up our Nova Scotia tree from the Sobeys parking lot at Howley
Estates yesterday morning. My tree has barely lost any needles since I
asked for a fresh cut on the tree trunk. I didn't get this done last
year(they didn't have anything to cut it with then) and my tree lost
way too many needles. If you don't get a fresh cut the tree sap makes
it harder for the water to get absorbed and then you lose the needles
quickly. I've had to water mine 3 times since yesterday but this is
normal and will slow down. I also haven't had to clean up any
needles :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that I had a local guy up in the parking lot
by the old Dominion on NF Drive tell me that the Nova Scotia trees
were all sold out. I could tell by the look on his face that he was
lying,so I told him I'd be back and went to check, and lo and
behold...there they were at Howley Estates....grrrrrrr

Darryl, why didn't you check it before you bought it? All you have to
do is pull on the needles to determine whether it's fresh or dried out.

Tip for next year...;-)

Last year our local K of C brought in NS trees instead of NB trees and
ended up losing many of their regular customers due to the condition
of the trees. Apparently ours was bad (according to our K of C friend
who was shown its condition by hubby) but I honestly cannot remember
-- it didn't catch fire so I had no complaints. LOL

This year they went back to NB trees.
