As we ate breakfast this morning (9.00 a.m.) we were watching a pair of Red Crossbills at our feeder on the back fence of the condo. First the male was gulping down beakfuls of millet while the female watched. I guess he said "I know it's not pine seeds, Dear, but, see, it's quite safe to eat." as eventually she joined in.

They breakfasted with us again this morning. Both also added peanut to their diet, sitting either side of the peanut feeder to pry a few pieces out.

Still around: breakfast yesterday, lunch today. Strange location as there's barely a conifer in sight.
