I birded the Cape Spear Rd in the high winds this morning,looking for
migrants that might have come in on the warm SW winds. Conditions were
tough with the birches and alders bending in the wind. Despite that I
did mange to dig out a Canada Warbler( last patch of alders on right
past the white cabin) and a Northern Parula(opposite Alder alley).
There were also an assortment of usual warblers along with 4 Red-eyed
Vireos.
