ARREST- Subject wanted for burglary located by Officer

On Sunday May 12, 2013 at approximately 8:30 PM, Ptl. Steve Van Nieuwland was on patrol checking the area of the Park and Ride lot located on South Park Drive when he was alerted by a passing motorist of a suspicious looking male subject sitting behind the roller hockey rink.  The Officer checked on the subject and identified him as Cory VanHorn, a 35 year old male resident of Newton.  A computer check revealed that he was a wanted person in NCIC and there was an active warrant for his arrest for a burglary investigated by the New Jersey State Police Sussex station.  As a result, VanHorn was arrested and transported to Newton Police headquarters where he was processed and then lodged in the Sussex County Jail.
