From Jonathan Tasini's campaign team:
In his column on Christmas Day, Paul Krugman
had a line that hit the nail right on the head: If progressives want
more than they've been getting lately, "They'll also have to
work long term on electing a more progressive
Congress."
That's what Jonathan Tasini's campaign for the 2010 Democratic
nomination for U.S. Senate in New York is about. We can't expect real
change--real affordable health care
for all Americans, an honest and fair economy,
a true plan to save the planet from the devastation of climate change
and the end to immoral wars and occupations--if we continue to elect
politicians, of either party, who are simply reinforcing the
system.
Jonathan can win this race because the voters want to end the
dysfunction in politics.
But, because he will not get the
corporate-insider cash flowing to his opponent, he
needs the help of many people who will
contribute $50, $100, $250 or $500. December 31st is an important
filing deadline for Jonathan's campaign so please contribute as
generously as you can.
Thanks for all you do for a progressive
future!
