Each of them is a possibility to peer with you just find the peering
page , or use you ISP to suck article and fill you server
What's a "server requirement"? What are you asking?
If you have a working news server, you need to find peers to "connect to
Usenet".
Try news.admin.peering or alt.usenet.peering
If you don't have a working server, are you asking what type of machine
does it take to run Usenet or what?

From your other post, ISP means Internet Service Provider. Those are the
companies in the US that sell internet access to people and businesses.
Most ISPs used to run their own Usenet servers and include Usenet as part
of what they provided to their customers. Most don't include it now, or if
they do, they buy the usenet service from a company specializing in Usenet
and just resell it to their users.
Companies that specialize in providing Usenet access are known as USPs
(Usenet Service Providers).
On your question of how much disk and ram, that depends on how much of
Usenet you want to get and how many users you want to support. If you are
trying to get everything (binary usenet included), you are way over your
head already. You can't do it with a single machine. You have to buy a few
racks fulls of servers full of disks and buy lots of very high speed
bandwidth just to get the news. If you don't have half a million to spend,
you shouldn't even consider trying it.
If you are just talking text usenet, then you can do that on a single low
end machine. But I can't help you much with how much disk and memory and
bandwidth you need because I've not tried to run a machine like that in 20
years. I'm guessing however that a few Mbit of bandwidth and a few large
disks on a medium sized server (few GB of memory) will work just fine -
typical large desktop machine sort of configuration. The disk space you
need is a function of how much retention you want (how long you want to
keep the news before you have to throw it out to make room for new news).
The size machine and disk all depend on how much of usenet you get your
peers to send you and how many users you are trying to support. If you get
only a handful of text and a few smaller binary groups sent to you, and you
are only running it to support your own access, then a very small (old)
desktop machine will do just fine. If you are trying to start a Usenet
business and sell access to your closest 1 million friends, you need some
serious money to buy some serious hardware.
I Run a News server Text only on windows
I have 50 concurent users and no problem
some time get 3000 users
It run on a 1.2 ghz CPU, 1.2 Gig Ram
and the bandwith is just around 20kB/sec
get arround -+2 gig of tranfer a day
Just look at the stats of big text server
remark the Duplicate and refuse post
most server are link with many and seed/feed
the same post. that take bandwith and lost of ressources
i use 32 gig for the space of the server
and no problem , more space more retension
Avoid Binairies in usenet , FTP,TORRENT,ETC are good for that
NSPs -- News (or Newsgroup) Service Providers.
