Now, on Google Groups, my posts really stand out, as do my emails.
Take that Ray Banana, ruler of Eternal⋅September land !
To get the HTML ( below, and in the body of this message )
working properly, I had to test gMail, Windows Live Mail,
Thunderbird and Google Groups.
<body style='background: black;'>
<pre style='background: black; font-family: DejaVu Sans Mono;'
'padding: 2em; color: rgb( 88, 44, 44 ); font-size: 25px;'>
WinMail needs the "body" tag; otherwise the black background
ends with the text, instead of covering the window.
Google Groups completely ignores the "body" tag.
WinMail is borked, it can't handle mixed⋅case tags.
Worse, it won't let you zoom, not at all ! What a train wreck !
Also, WinMail needs the "font-family: DejaVu Sans Mono";
othewise the font looks really, really bad.
gMail and Thunderbird are flawless, of course.
Google got gMail right because, unlike Google Groups,
it earns them $$$.
