This is the footer attached to every post in this group. Try the
dejanews search function to see if you can find a group specifically
about tropical fish.
Good luck.

Aside from the fact that two of the fish in the office aquarium died
in the last two days, I have very little aquaintance with fish. But
the people who inhabit the following newsgroups have lots. You will
be in a better position than me to figure out which group would be
most appropriate:
: news:rec.aquaria.freshwater.cichlids care and keeping of freshwater cichlids.
: news:rec.aquaria.freshwater.goldfish care and keeping of goldfish, koi, carp.
: news:rec.aquaria.freshwater.misc freshwater aquaria in general.
: news:rec.aquaria.freshwater.plants keeping of freshwater aquarium plants.
: news:rec.aquaria.marine.misc marine aquaria in general.
: news:rec.aquaria.marine.reefs marine reef aquaria.
: news:rec.aquaria.marketplace aquarium advertising & announcements.
: news:rec.aquaria.misc closed system aquaria in general.
: news:rec.aquaria.tech aquarium related technology and equipment.
You will find FAQs for these groups at:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/by-newsgroup/rec/
In Netscape you can get the full list of the groups that are carried
by your server by selecting "Options" on your menu and then going down
to "Show all newsgroups". Click the boxes beside all the groups you
are interested in to subscribe to them. Then go back to the "Options"
menu and select either "Show subscribed groups" or "Show active
newsgroups" (recommended).
If you know the name of the newsgroup you want, click on "File/Add
Newsgroup", type in the exact name of your newsgroup, then put a check
mark against the newsgroup name in the "News Server" window; you are
now subscribed to that group. If you wish to "cancel" your
subscription, simply uncheck the box and next time you enter the
program it will no longer show.
You may find the names of newsgroups that might interest you at the
site: http://www.dejanews.com/home_if.shtml which lets you search the
contents of groups by keyword. This site also gives you the ability
to sample posts that contain the keyword so you can get an idea of the
tone of the news group.
Hope some of this helps,
