If you live in America and your name starts with a letter, you're
probably going to be seeing higher gas taxes soon. States and
municipalities from Massachusetts to Michigan are planning gas hikes to
help rev up their stalling fiscal engines. So any of you planning to
travel across state lines to stock up on cigarettes before April 1 had
better get on the road fast, before new highway taxes, raised tolls,
speeding cameras and apocalyptic moths bar your way for good.

Here in Missouri cigarette manufacturers hiked cigarettes about $9.00
per carton so people would not stock up. Supposedly the total price,
including the new tax, will drop $3.00 per carton April 1st: the added
$9.00 will be removed and the $6.00 tax added.
The people down at the all night station say that their cigarette
sales are way down. Frankly I hope that the $9.00 is not removed when
the tax takes effect so that cigarette sales go down even further to
the point that the government takes in less in cigarette taxes than it
did before imposing the new tax. If the government wants to fund some
special health program, if it's worthy of being funded, then everybody
should pay for it, not just one group of people.
Obama also has stated a government hike on gas tax's.Thsi guy has so
far done nothing except to make things worse for the average American
and has done nothing to help them
The average American seems to be of below average intelligence.
