Usenet Spam encoded in Base64

Hi all, Over the past few months I've noticed Spam being posted to Usenet using Base64 encoding. Block requests from open proxies

I wrote a Perl module that can be used to block HTTP requests from open proxies on the fly. [link] The intended purpose is to prevent bogus form submissions. Looking at the log of blocked requests so far, it seems to be very effective.... more »

I figure this is as good as any place to discuss this issue. Our various role addresses (as are yours) are getting inundated with spam. Huge amounts of spam. So much spam that using spam assassin and various other filters doesn't completely alleviate the problem. I know that some people have a tremendous issue with the "jump through... more »
