These are the totals for automatically cancelled spams issued from
my site between sometime on March 2, and 00:20 GMT on April 1, 1997.
Most notable is the sheer volume of the Sexzilla spam. Sexzilla.com
(also netzilla.net) is a sex-site operator based out of Fargo, ND. Internic
records show Jerry Reynolds as the contact. The telephone numbers
shown are disconnected. Sexzilla/Netzilla's provider is Corporate
Communications (corpcomm.net) in Fargo. The listed contact is Douglas Kirk.
Kirk cut off Sexzilla's posting access some time ago, but says he was
unaware that his client is spamming from (and getting kicked off of) many
different ISPs from several accounts, and even from some sites without
authorization at all. The spams seem to have stopped since our conversation,
so we'll see.
The MISCSEX entry is a whole lot of spammers in the alt.sex and alt.binaries
hierarchies, which together make up quite a bit of volume, as well.
