Backscatterer & mailing-list bot

our own blacklisting system), one of my servers is being blacklisted for
backscattering. It is setup to refuse undeliverable mails but as the
server is hosting mailing-lists bots (~50K lists), the server is likely to
deliver DSN (even NDR) and others automatic notifications.
ML bot is replying to mails, a local-deliverable mail (to a ML) may return
(it should be to list owner) a remote-undeliverable mail, etc.
Am I missing something about the server configuration or there is no way
not to be blacklisted ?

Are all your bounces going to the list owner? Or do some go to the
sender? The latter will make backscatter if any spam with forged
return info gets through and gets sent to one of your lists that makes
NDRs.

Please send exact details of the messages you receive. Backspattering
is unacceptable in any form.

The ML set the SMTP envelope to the list owner (so the bounces are
supposed to be sent to him). But if someone is sending an email to a bot
with a faked-from, the bot will send his answer to the faked-from. You may
also send a mail to a moderated/closed ML and you still have an
automatic answer from the bot.

While not bounces, mailing list auto responders sending
enough messages (due to forged From: in messages to the
List bot) in my direction, that I happen to notice,
get treated the same as all other spammers.

Yes; if you don't want to be blocked for backscatter then you must not
send backscatter. Unless you have some way to authenticate the reverse
path, you must refuse undeliverable mail within the SMTP session.

His problem has nothing to do with undeliverable email.
