OK Froggy, I give up. I've been spending a LOT of money on film and
developing and stuff.... and there you go, with some of the exact same
pictures as I took this year and last year.... I think I'll just leave my
camera at home.

Okay, I'll bite..., er on second thought.... (g)
You never met my sister, Connie Lingus ? She's married to Phil Latio.
They live near Haywood Jablomee and Fonda Peters. Fonda's sister, Anita
Peters lives down the street from me, and Hugh Jardon and Etta Cox live in
the neighborhood. Buster Cherry and Ora Gasm live on da north shore. You
know our slogans, "it's hot and juicy in our box" and "you'll really love
our meat." (I swear to god a pizza place when I went to college, actually
had those slogans. And they delivered beer and cigarettes. It was heaven)
Jules, who, listening to her innner adult, is probably gonna do that
couch/floor thing and stay on the west bank next weekend. ewwwwww. It
wouldn't be so bad if I didn't live on the Thoth parade route and could
nap sunday afternoon ;))

You have such an interesting family. (g) I have no trouble
believing about the pizza place. I'm sure you've seen the local
firm Wagner's Meats. Their slogan is "You can't beat our meat."

Couch/floor thing?
Yeah, she used to date a friend of mine, Peter Gosinya.
Non-locals reading this newsgroup may think you're joking, Ray, but folks,
he isn't. The principal Wagner's Meats store is right where you get off the
I-10 onto Carrollton, and there's the slogan on their main billboard, in
letters fifteen feet high. Thousands see it every day. ("Daddy, what does
that sign mean?" "Um, well, uh, just wait till you're a little older, son,
I think you'll figure it out.")
I met a guy, a cameraman for Cox Cable I think, who told me of going to high
school with the son of the owner of Wagner's Meats. This guy was, to put it
frankly, a masturbation freak, and he just would not stop talking about it.
It seemed that nearly every sentence was peppered with the most vivid and
crude street language terms for playing sexual solitaire, to the point where
his teachers had to repeatedly reprimand him and order him to clean up his
act, or at least his language.
Some years later Wagner Sr. turned over the running of the company to his
son. It was only after that that the company slogan became "You can't beat
Wagner's meat." In other words, that's no accidental double entendre.
Wagner Jr.'s revenge on those schoolmarmish schoolmarms has been both
spectacular and complete.

Don't give up! Get 'em scanned and put up a webpage. We need
more Mardi Gras webpages by locals who enjoy the Carnival scene.
If we've been getting the same photos, we must have been going
to the same events... Were you taking shots over my sholder?

"Annie Lingus"? I know your sister Connie...
Oh, so you live on the other side of, um, town from her, so to speak?
None for me, thanks...

Yuppers; I live on the other bank, strikingly close to the oft mispelled
street YOU live on... Annie and I spent about twenty minutes at the Cosmic
Debris Tumble saturday night.... going "we know we know him; but WHO the
hell is it ?" I guess this, and many other questions, will be answered
Saturday night ? (I'll be "head space;" Connie and Phil have secret
costumes that I am not disclosing cuz I value my life) See ya at the dance
