Hi All,
Just a reminder about the webinar tomorrow.

This will be primarily a wrap up of the cognitive process ontology integration. What is the strategy for incorporating terms? What have we learned about representing cognition?
Do we gain anything by reusing work or do we just reinvent?

This webinar is about  NIF Standard Ontologies (NIFSTD) and community involvement. A core component of the Neuroscience Information Framework (NIF) project, NIFSTD is a set of modular ontologies that represents an extensive collection of terms and concepts from the major domains of neuroscience. The overall ontology has been assembled in a form that promotes reuse of existing biomedical ontologies and vocabulary sources while allowing for extension and  modification over the course of its evolution. This webinar will present the structure and design principles of the NIFSTD, followed by a discussion of NIF's approach to engage communities to develop a collaborative, interoperable framework that represents the data and concepts associated with standard neuroscience practices in an integrative, unified way.
