About Us
Welcome! Our group conducts research spanning a broad range of topics in networked and communication systems, including network protocols and architecture, sensor networks, wireless networks, and wireless communications. We focus on fundamental networking and communication problems. Our research methodology is a combination of analytical and empirical approaches. We have been actively collaborating with researchers from various places.

We are actively looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic students to join our group. If you are interested in working with us, please indicate your interest in NEST group when you apply graduate degree programs at MC Lab, Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

- [Publication] November, 2009: Lei's paper was accepted by INFOCOM'10. Congratulations, Lei!
- [Professional Activity] September 2009: Dr. Jiang accepted the invitation to be serve as a TPC member for GLOBECOM 2010.
- [Charity Activity] On August 8, 2009, Morakot, the worst typhoon hit Taiwan province in southeastern China, caused its worst flooding in half a century. At least 291 people were killed and 387 missing after Morakot struck the island. Please help the victims. We'd appreciate your donation to Red Cross Society of China.
- [Publication] June, 2009: One paper we submitted to IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS) was accepted.
- [Publication] May, 2009: Dr. Chen Tian's co-authored paper was accepted by SIGCOMM'09!
- [Professional Activity] March, 2009: Dr. Jiang accepted the invitation to be serve as a TPC member for INFOCOM 2010.
- [Publication] December 2008: Two papers we submitted to INFOCOM'09 were accepted.
- [Publication] December 2008: One paper we submitted to ICC'09 was accepted.
- [Funding] September 2008: From National Natural Science Foundation of China, Dr. Jiang got a NSFC grant (No.60803115) on data aggregation in wireless sensor networks for 3 years.
- [Professional Activity] July 2008: Dr. Jiang accepted the invitation to be serve as a TPC member for WWW 2009.
- [Publication] June 2008: One paper we submitted to GLOBECOM'08 was accepted.
- [Charity Activity] On May 12, 2008, a powerful earthquake measuring
7.8 8.0 on the Richter scale struck Sichuan province in southwestern China, killing thousands of people. Please help the victims. We'd appreciate your donation to Red Cross Society of China.
