*Firefox 1.5*
- We've now put together the schedule for the remaining milestones for
1.5
- Schedule has been sent around to all project stakeholders for review,
will be posting widely later today or early tomorrow
- First beta is a week tomorrow
- Schrep and cbeard are holding daily branch drivers meetings, 2pm PDT
on monday/tuesday and 11am PDT on wednesday/thursday/friday
- Weekly deer park status meetings for all project staff are still at
11am PDT on tuesdays
- Working on beta release messaging and marketing plan now
- Beta 2 will not have feature improvements on Beta 1, and we need to
make that clear
- Still need to clean up possibly confusing wiki page naming and other
issues relating to changing version number from 1.1 to 1.5
- We are still dealing with fallout from large changes we took late
- That's part of the reason for the slip
- We didn't have a good understanding of the buglist
*Thunderbird 1.5*
- Only a handful of bugs left
- Looking happily on target
*Newsgroups*
- Will be called news.mozilla.org
- No charge for use (of course)
- Revisit the "mirror all mailing lists" question after a month or two
*DevMo*
- Heading towards the beta
- dria is finishing up the skin
- polvi and dria will upgrade wikis to MediaWiki 1.5rc2
- Also upgrading the weblog skins; fully-integrated design
- Then two or three days of major content hacking
- Hope to roll out beta on either Friday or Monday
- beta means good structure, right look and feel, it works and has
useful content (although not 100% of it)
*Conferences*
- Starting to look at list for the spring season
- Collecting names of conferences to attend/present at in the wiki
- There is not a developer day scheduled, but we do need to do one soon
