Got it working. Intall timidity and gus-patches. Go to seamonkey
preferences > helper applications, and add timidity for audio/midi
mime files. Bingo! Works jes fine. ;)

Yeah. Checking about:config and about:plugins was my first stop. No
joy. I found a forum that said VLC did midi files, so I intalled it
only to get a gui error stating vlc don't do midi and there's nothing
I can do about it. lol.... a sense of humor! ;) Looking at TiMidity.

in the SM address bar type in about:plugins then hit
they enter key, and now look for an entry that plays
midi. Is there anything? If not, then you need to
configure something to play those.

I'm running SM 1.1.17 with realplayer, mplayer, etc on slackware 13.
None do midi. What I gotta add or config to play a midi file from web

close SM, then delete all the *.msf files from the Mail
Section within the SM profile. Reopen SM. Did that work?

if you have a lot of compacting, then the message do
disappear, but should reappear shortly. If they don't,
then click on another folder, then back, and they
should reappear.

I just compacted my folders and the past 3 months of emails are gone
from my inbox! I've compacted before, but never LOST anything!

Can't replicate that problem. Something in configuration as someone
suggested elsewhere?
In "about:config" (from browser) I see
print.print_printer;user set;string;Lexmark X6100 Series
followed by four print.print_unwriteable_margin _bottom (etc.) default
settings ... then a heap of print.printer_Lexmark_X6100_Se ries.(various

Hi Peter P, checked #1 view, msgs and all was selected.
did check also #2 everything was as it should be but could
not find Offline all the rest were correct
Thanks for your assistance. If you can think of anything else it
would be appreciated. Funny thing is my wife's account has no

Sorry Peter, not on mine, if I click anywhere in the username field, I
have to at least enter the first character of the username before the
options described appear.
