midi in seamonkey 1.1.17

I'm running SM 1.1.17 with realplayer, mplayer, etc on slackware 13.
None do midi. What I gotta add or config to play a midi file from web
link? Thnx.

in the SM address bar type in about:plugins then hit
they enter key, and now look for an entry that plays
midi. Is there anything? If not, then you need to
configure something to play those.

Yeah. Checking about:config and about:plugins was my first stop. No
joy. I found a forum that said VLC did midi files, so I intalled it
only to get a gui error stating vlc don't do midi and there's nothing
I can do about it. lol.... a sense of humor! ;) Looking at TiMidity.

Got it working. Intall timidity and gus-patches. Go to seamonkey
preferences > helper applications, and add timidity for audio/midi
mime files. Bingo! Works jes fine. ;)
