Subject: mplayer stops
I downloaded mplayerplug-in-3.11.tar.gz and built then installed it.
But I can't get it to play anything.  It appears to download the file
then it stops I must be missing somthing.

What I have done:

Installed Flash/Shockwave which works.

Downloaded mplayerplug-in-3.11.tar.gz.
Upgraded mozilla-devel with YUM.
Made mplayer plugin.
make install.
restart Mozilla 1.7.6
went to CNN to test and mplayer downloads some or all content then
stops.
went to
http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialMimeTypesAndApplication...
and tried their tests including the flash test.  Flash worked mplayer
does the same loads then stops.
Search the heck out of the web but I still haven't gotten a debug lead
yet.

My questions:

Configuration issue?
Installation issue?
More software?  Java, Javascript?
Debug procedures?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Make sure all the tests pass here first.

This test fails the same way.  I need some help with what and how to
debug this problem.

Can you send the output of one of the tests?

Is mplayer in your path?

What version of mplayer are you using?

When you run mplayer from the commandline do you get a gui or does it
just open a window.

This discussion should be moved to the mplayerplug-in devel mailing
list. There seems to be someone on that list with the same problem.
Perhaps you have the same issue.
