crash of all mailfolders and addressbook

again afterwards, mozilla and mozilla mail were like freshly installed
- no bookmarks, no newsgroups, no inbox-folder-contents, no
addressbook... Does anyone know WHERE on harddisk these folders are
regulary saved? I also cannot start or install Firefox again...

close TB, then click on the windows start button, then
run and enter:
thunderbird.exe -p
this will bring up the TB profile manager. How many
profiles do you see?
As for FF, look in the task manager [ctrl+alt+del] and
see if FF is running in applications and processes. If
it is, then end it. Now try again.
