The first thing that we've fixed that we need your help testing is the Windows "Add or
Remove Programs" bug that caused a doubling up of uninstall entries. This new build should
behave correctly, in that if you install it on top of an older release, it will replace
that older release's entry rather than add a new one.
The second area that we could use your help testing is manual installation of plugins. If
you can find sites that offer plugins which we don't support with the Plugin Finder
Service, then clicking on the puzzle piece or the "Install missing plugins" button in the
information bar should result in a Plugin Finder Service dialog with a "Manual
Installation" button which should take you to the web page for manual installation.
Other than those areas, this release should behave exactly the same as the previous
releases. We will not be taking any new L10N changes into the builds.
L10N Windows and Mac builds are available for testing. L10N Linux builds are not finished
yet, but when they are, we'll need you all to test all three platforms for your locale and
have your locale owner sign off on the builds at the 1.0.3 L10N bug

At least on my computer, it works. I've tried my locale, it-IT.

Do you have any site to give me to try?
Linux l10n builds have been pushed to stage and should be on the faster
ftp mirrors by now:

zip builds are there for windows. Aren't these supposed to be
discontinued for official releases?

Brian, don't worry. These are "nightly builds" we're testing. We won't release the zips.

Installer windows for it-IT ok. Still waiting for a site to test plug-in.

Here's one:
http://infomedia.ipix.com/gallery/webdev.shtml
Click on the 'IPIX Plug-In' link on top of the box before clicking for
the plugin.
This *does not* work for me on ga-IE 1.0.3 Windows build, but does work
when I switch to the en-US language pack. I'm wondering if any other
l10n builds have the same problem.
Well, this is a strange thing. I can see the movie in the page even if I
don't have the plug-in, but sometimes if I open this page (witha not-new
profile) FF stop to work properly and it doesn't close well.
I tried to get plug-in installer, but it doesn't see FF as a supported
browser.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; it-IT; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050403
Firefox/1.0.3 <-- Works fine for me
Thanks

Same for me. OK with en-US langpack but FX freezes & crashes when I use
the it-IT locale.

As per your request I've just reinstalled (fresh profiles) both 1.0.1 &
1.0.2 builds and it doesn't work with both them.
Just to check once more I've installed the en-US locale (xpi) on both
it-IT builds (1.0.1 & 1.0.2) and using it I don't have any kind of
problem with the link mentioned by Brian.

No problem with sv-SE.
The pfs.datasource.url in mozapps/plugins/plugins.dtd looks malformed
in ga-IE and it-IT. The correct URL should be
https://update.mozilla.org/plugins/PluginFinderService.php?mimetype=%
PLUGIN_MIMETYPE%&appID=%APP_ID%&appVersion=%APP_VERSION%&clientOS=%
CLIENT_OS%&chromeLocale=%CHROME_LOCALE%
ga-IE has a couple of "\n" in the URL:
https://update.mozilla.org/plugins/PluginFinderService.php?mimetype=%
\nPLUGIN_MIMETYPE%&appID=%APP_ID%&appVersion=%APP_VERSION%&clientOS=%
CLIENT_OS%\n&chromeLocale=%CHROME_LOCALE%
and it-IT has several extraneous "\":

Sorry, the file is plugins.properties.
We've decided to take some additional fixes for regressions in 1.0.2.
New candidates should be available in approximately 8 hours, i.e.,
around 03:00 UTC, plus or minus a few hours.
The bug need to be approved to proceed with the cvs checkin. Please,
someone with the correct permissions could approve it?
Thanks,

I've filed a bug for considerarion for 1.0.3 checkin:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289013
If it will be accepted, what's the cut-off for getting a patch checked in?

Benjamin Smedberg commenting the bug:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289007
said that backslashed escaper are allowed in properties files, so the value:

PLUGIN_MIMETYPE%&appID\=%APP_ID%&appVersion\=%APP_VERSION%&clientOS\=%
CLIENT_OS%&chromeLocale\=%CHROME_LOCALE%
is not malformed.
Could someone give me a real page that causes problems with plugins?
Thank you.

es-ES has no problem with this.

I'm trying with the latest 1.0.3 builds posted (dated 7 April).
The ipix site seems to be gone, so I found this one:
http://www.adobe.com/svg/overview/interactive.html
Click on the Chart demo.
It doesn't work on ga-IE, or even if I switch to the en-US langpack. We
fixed the bug (see bug 289013), and I checked the plugin.properties file
and it is fixed.
Can someone else try this with their locale.
I've tried this with the mk-MK-1.0.3 version for Linux (dated 7.04.2005).
The plugin search dialog appears but it seems to not do anything.
I've also tried to search for a flash plugin, but that worked ok.
