FF 20 problem
|
| |
After a malware scareware episode I ran several Antivirus tools that all showed no infections. I also ran Ccleaner.
Now what happens is that if I am on a page that has images and html content on it all seems OK.
If, however, if there is link on that page that would take me to a second page that second page opens in plain text only.... more »

Firefox is mangling the WM_NAME property
|
| |
I have a script that monitors the WM_NAME property of applications. Firefox is mangling this property with encoded multiple tab titles. For example, rather than a simple string identifying this as Firefox, you get something like:
WM_NAME(COMPOUND_TEXT) = 0x57, 0x68, 0x61, 0x74, 0x3f, 0x73, 0x20, 0x74, 0x68, 0x65, 0x20, 0x4d, 0x61, 0x74, 0x74, 0x65, 0x72, 0x20, 0x57, 0x69, 0x74, 0x68, 0x20, 0x56, 0x61, 0x73, 0x73, 0x61, 0x72, 0x3f, 0x20, 0x2d, 0x20, 0x42, 0x79, 0x20, 0x53, 0x74, 0x61, 0x6e, 0x6c, 0x65, 0x79, 0x20, 0x4b, 0x75, 0x72, 0x74, 0x7a, 0x20, 0x2d, 0x20, 0x54, 0x68, 0x65, 0x20, 0x43, 0x6f, 0x72, 0x6e, 0x65, 0x72, 0x20, 0x2d, 0x20, 0x4e, 0x61, 0x74, 0x69, 0x6f, 0x6e, 0x61, 0x6c, 0x20, 0x52, 0x65, 0x76, 0x69, 0x65, 0x77, 0x20, 0x4f, 0x6e, 0x6c, 0x69, 0x6e, 0x65, 0x20, 0x2d, 0x20, 0x4d, 0x6f, 0x7a, 0x69, 0x6c, 0x6c, 0x61, 0x20, 0x46, 0x69, 0x72, 0x65, 0x66, 0x6f, 0x78... more »

Is there a "stop" list for the spell checker?
|
| |
Firefox accepts certain words like "ans" (instead of "and") as properly spelled. I would like to have the spell checker flag this word. Is there any way to create a list of words that Firefox should always consider as misspelled?
Thanks.

New Firefox breaks xmodmap'ed keys
|
| |
The new Firefox for Mageia 2 (17.0.2, IIRC) fails to obey keys
remapped by xmodmap. I have a couple of the odd-ball keys on
spacebar row mapped to 'r' and 'w' in order to be able to rapidly
refresh and close Firefox windows with less effort. The key
modmapping is working correctly. With the previous Firefox,... more »

I keep getting bottom banners covering up info, mainly Bing(not installed

Web Developer extension
|
| |
With my recent upgrade to FF16 (or maybe it happened with FF15), I
discovered that the Web Developer extension no longer includes
"Outline current element". This was a great disappointment to me,
because I found it the most useful tool in there. It helped me
pinpoint all kinds of errors in my HTML, just by seeing that the... more »

Some JPGs not showing - Pale Moon
|
| |
Very strange behavior. I'm finding that
Pale Moon drops out some JPGs. I've tried
to narrow it down using a local webpage,
but even with the most basic HTML some
images are missing. I also tried updating
to the latest version of PM (15.1). Firefox,
which is said the be virtually the same
browser, shows the images fine.... more »
