Why do they ask?

In Firefox, in options, secuirty, passwords, there is a box marked
"Display Passwords".

If you click on it, a list of sits and usernames comes up with a box
also marked "Display Passwords"

If you click on this box too, a question box asks, "Do you really want
to show your passwords?"

What is the point of this question? It's not like I'm deleting
anything. I'm just displaying something I have twice said I want to
display.

Even if I had only once said I want to diplay the passwords, why do
they need to check again. They don't require a password to display
the passwords so anyone who can sit in front of your computer can
display them. It's no added security by asking again. So what is the
point of asking?
