You might be able to use Keyconfig
<http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/keyconfig>
to change/remove keyboard shortcuts.

Thank you, this is a good start; but that Web site says:
The configuration screen can be accessed via Tools->Keyconfig...
or accel+shift+F12 on all supported windows.
I can't find Keyconfig under Tools and I can't figure out what
"accel" means. (I have tried SHIFT, ALT and the "Windosw" keys on my
keyboard.
Have you actually *installed* Keyconfig on your computer? An extension
needs to be installed into the relevant application (Firefox, Thunderbird,
etc.) before it will operate. Also, be sure to close down Firefox after
performing the install. Then re-start Firefox after a minute or so.
After installtion the Keyconfig item appears near the bottom of the 'Tools'
menu. Ctrl+Shit+F12 key combination will also bring up the configuration
dialog box.
Try again and see if it is OK this time.

Rob.
The accel key is OS-dependent and configurable, see
http://www.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html#keys
On Windows and Unix it is the Ctrl key by default, on Mac the Cmd key.
See also Rob's reply.
Best regards,
Tony.
Thanks.

George,
In a previous message in this thread 'data64' gave you the corrrect
location. The one you have above is *not* the correct place.
The *right* place is http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/keyconfig
Good luck,
Rob.

Now it's going to be hard to do that key combo more than once a day unless you
take a laxative.

Picky, picky, picky ;-/
BTW, there was a bloke I heard about who actually took his mobile phone &
laptop into the toilet with him in case he got a business call while he was
doing his business! [definitely a workaholic, aka anal-retentive although
whether that's correct in this case may be debatable]
Anyway, I'll finish my attempt at toilet humour <<going off to wash hands>>
Rob.

Thank you. That did it.
