where are the favorites (Lesezeichen) of Firefox stored? I want to make a
backup of them.

the "bookmarks" are stored in the FF profile. But you
don't have to worry about that. Click on Bookmarks,
Organize Bookmarks, then Import/Export Bookmarks.
