Can I stop sites hijacking the browsers accelerator keys?

Hi,

Increasingly I find websites are setting up accesskeys in their html
code so that people can use keyboard shortcuts to navigate the site.
This really annoys me, especially when they hijack shortcuts I use often
and I'd like to be able to stop the sites doing that. I'm hoping there
is a preference I can set somewhere that can simply turn off accesskeys
support, but am interested in any solutions that people might be able to
offer!

In case I'm being unclear, the latest example I've bumped into is at
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/. I hit ALT+d expecting focus to shift to the
address bar and instead I get moved over to the Holiday Lets section of
the site.

Enter "about:config" into the URL bar and hit Enter to load the complete
configuration page. Then find the item named "ui.key.generalAccessKey"
(use the filter if you like), and double-click it. Enter the value "0".

How it works: there are a few preferences starting "ui.key.", and they
define what keys trigger certain things, including what key is used for
menus and webpage shortcuts. 17 is Control, and 18 Alt on a Windows system.
