Now that I installed 1.4, on startup I get an error
(QFA)Talkback error: can't initialize

and then when I try a web site with security, I get a rather
long winded message like this:

"Could not initialize the browser's security component. The most likely
cause is problems with files in the brower's profile directory. Please
check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and that your
hard disk is not full. It is recommended that you exit the browser and
correct the problem. If you continue to use this browser session, you
might see incorrect behavior when accessing security features."

Not very encouraging, hey? Anyway, under RH 8, my profile is in
~/.mozilla/mfox/asdfasdf.slt/ and the files in there look OK. All owned
by me, all rw------- or better. There is one symlink named lock that
points to a nonexistent file. I have not deleted it, because I didn't
put it there. Could that file be the problem?

All help appreciated.

TIA

Maurice
