A livewire app of ours is truncating data that is stored in a 'long'
format. The app works fine on Enterprise Server 3.0 (development
environment) but version 3.5.1 is truncating.

We are running Oracle version 7.3.2 Workgroup Server. Our SQL Net
Client is version 2.3.2.1.4.
We have installed the patches for the Enterprise Server B and E as of
yesterday and that did not
solve the problem. Both the livewire app on the production environment
and on the development
environment interact with the same database.

It appears that there is no difference between the two servers except
that the Enterprise Server is
newer on the machine we are having problems with.

Hello Robert,
the Workgroup Server (Oracle) has to run in the NLS_LANGUAGE Set AMERICAN.
We had also problems with float-numbers, because the decimalpoint was set
to be "," instead of "."

hope this helps
