Subject: Registration/Resources
I'm having trouble registering ScriptBuilder 3.0 online. Every time I
try to submit the registration I get an invalid serial number message.
The serial number is correct according to the one printed on the
registration card. I seem to remember there being a similar problem
registering NOF 4.0 online.

I also have to add my comments regarding ScriptBuilder being a bit of a
resource hog. The first time I opened it my machine slowed to a crawl. I
checked the resource meter and here's the results:

System Resources: 13% free
User Resources: 29% free
GDI Resources: 15% free

Other than a couple of background apps, nothing else was running. I
hadn't even opened a script yet. When I opened the calendar.js I got the
dreaded "90" of your resources are in use...." message. I did remove
some of the reference libraries but it didn't make that much of a
difference. On the upside, as soon as I closed ScriptBuilder the
resources were freed up.

PS Specs:
Intel PII 400
256 MB 100mhz SDRAM
14.4 Gig IBM HDD (6+ gigs free)
9.1 Seagate Medalist HDD (5+ gigs free)
Windows 98

If there's not a patch for this soon, there's no way I'll be able to use
it. I can't imagine having ScriptBuilder and NS or IE open at the same
time, much less NOF 4.0 as well.

Fwiw, I can run Photoshop, TrueSpace (rendering), Netscape, Eudora and
NOF at the same time and the resources barely dip into the yellow. I
can't imagine that ScriptBuilder is performing anything more intense
than those apps just by being open.

I love the idea of having all my scripting resources in the same place,
along with the script inspector and syntax checker, but in it's current
state I'll be going back to TextPad.

Adrian.

Adrian -

I'd like to suggest that you download the SB 3.02 update from
http://www.netobjects.com/products/html/nsb3wml.html (click the link
'Download the WML Extensions Kit)

According to Engineering, you should see seveal improvements in
performance with 3.02.
