I installed the ISC board in a 3B2-400 and the cBSC/RJE software from Systems Strategies Inc. for a IBM-mainframe BSC/RJE link. The transfer of data succeeded but only with maximum of 5 records of 80 characters. Does anyone have a better experience with the data transfer. Advise would be gratefully accepted.... more »

My situation: Most of our disk space (1.5Gb) is on a VAX running 4.2BSD (soon to be 4.3). We have three Silicon Graphics IRIS workstations with small disks, and currently people move files between the workstations and the VAX explicitly (via rcp). I have just finished taking the System 5.2 message routines (msgctl, msgget, msgrcv and msgsnd) and putting them into the 4.3 BSD kernel. We are running 4.3+NFS from Mt. Xinu on two 780s and a 750. I have seen notes from other people also running this version of Unix. I am the system administrator for the 780s.
